Asdaa (Arabic for "echoes") is inspired by the painting "Mosque of the Citadel, Cairo" by Albert Goodwin:

The piece was written for the Aberdeen Art Gallery, for the gallery's concert as part of the sound festival. The wonderful new music-specialized flutist Richard Craig performed the piece next to the painting.
